Gmail

Gmail (also known as Googlemail) is a free and subscription web based email service provided by Google. It is accessible from wherever you are as long as you have an internet connection, not just from your home or work place.

Each user gets around 7.5GB of space (this is always increasing) and that should be plenty for all home users of emails but there is a subscription based service as part of Google Apps for Business which allows you up to 25GB if you really need it!

• and many other mail clients.

Gmail has a  Google-powered search to find emails quickly.

Gmail filters out unwanted spam from your inbox. There is something called Postini filtering which lets you customize your spam protection- this is an optional extra.
