How to Customize the Windows 7 or Vista ‘Send To’ Menu
December 8, 2009 – 9:00 amEach time you right-click on a file/folder in Windows 7 and Vista you have the option to use the ‘Send To’ menu. This enables you to send the folder/file to a location in the menu. (See Below)

This post will help you to customize the items on this menu.
- Firstly, press the windows key and r to open Run.
- Then clear all text from the bar and copy+paste the following into it – %APPDATA%\Microsoft\Windows\SendTo

- Then click ‘OK’
-
You should now see a similar window to below with your normal location options listed
- Now say you wanted to be able to send the file/folder to ‘Documents’. All you need to do is copy and paste a shortcut of the file/folder into the SendTo Window and then it’s there ready to use!
