XP Users – Welcome to Windows 7 (4)
November 17, 2009 – 9:00 amToday is my final attempt to encourage all XP users to make the switch to Windows 7. My aim is to show that the differences between the two operating systems aren’t mammoth or too confusing but are well worth the switch! In this final blog I will discuss Security and Windows Live.
Security
As expected, Windows 7 is considerably more secure than XP. It includes a variety of advanced in-built security features. For instance (click on links to find out more) – BitLocker, Parental Controls and Backup and Restore.
Windows Live
Microsoft have had a bit of a spring clean by joining creating the free ‘Windows Live Essentials’ package. It includes the likes of Live Mail (replaced Outlook), Messenger, Movie Maker and many more (see image below).
So there it is, our attempt to persuade all XP users to take the step and upgrade to the far better Windows 7. The balls now in your court!
