What’s the difference between a Search Engine and a Web Browser?

So what actually is the difference between a Search Engine and a Web Browser?

A web browser is a program (such as Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer or Google Chrome) which you use to look on the Internet with, in other words…the software you’re using now to view this post.

A Search Engine is a website which allows you to type in any word/phrase to search the Internet for.  It’s a bit like a phone directory but for the websites/web pages.
