Dell Inspiron Mini 10 Netbook

Dell Inspiron Mini 10 NetbookA couple of weeks ago we had the opportunity to setup a Dell Inspiron Mini 10 Netbook, the first Netbook we have been able to setup rather than just play with!  Running the Intel® Atom™ Processor N270 (1.60GHz, 533MHz, 512K cache) with 1 GB RAM and a 160GB hard drive and Windows XP.  It was quicker than I expected it to be and well built, which is a when they are so small and so cheap (relatively speaking!).

Being a Dell I expected it to come with lots of junk to un-install, but the only thing that needed removing was a trial of Norton (replaced with AVG Internet Security) and then just installed Firefox and away we went.  Perfect for what they are made for, Internet and Emails.  The keyboard is small but nice to type on, once you get into the flow of using a keyboard that size it’s great top type on, much better than a phone or something smaller.

Battery life seemed good for the time we were using it, but to be honest it needs to be tested over a few weeks to really decide if it has a sensible battery life.

For a first look, we were impressed and would for for it again! Got experiences with this machine?  Let us know!
