FAQ: What is a Jump List?
August 12, 2009 – 9:00 am
Jump List’s are used very heavily in Windows 7. A Jump List is just a list of your most used or recently used documents from that program. However, Windows 7 now allows you to access this via the task bar at the bottom of the page! To open simply press ‘Alt + Windows logo key + the number which corresponds to the position of the key on the task bar’. For example, say I wanted to open up the Jump List for Microsoft Office Excel and it was the 4th program on my task bar I’d press ‘Alt + Windows logo key + 4′.
Jump List’s are really useful for accessing programs and documents really quickly. You can even pin your favourite/most used documents to the applicable Jump List so it is easy to access.
